Staffordshire Pottery Dogs Cotton Tea Towel – Blue & Purple

£16.50
Two very decorative dogs, sitting beautifully for their portrait.
This MondoMagna cotton tea towel features a pair of Staffordshire pottery dogs, redrawn and reimagined in rich blue, purple and soft white against a warm cream background.
The flowing coats, painted markings and wonderfully solemn expressions of the original ceramic figures have been retained, while the unexpected colour gives this traditional British decorative object a distinctly contemporary character.
A deep blue border frames the pair and gives the simple composition its finishing touch.
Part antique ornament, part portrait and just a little eccentric, these two make a colourful kitchen companion — and a lovely gift for dog lovers, Staffordshire pottery collectors or anyone who appreciates unusual British design.
