Staffordshire Pottery Dogs Cotton Tea Towel – Blue & Orange

£16.50
Traditional Staffordshire dogs — with a rather less traditional flash of orange.
This MondoMagna cotton tea towel features a hand-drawn pair of Staffordshire pottery dogs in rich blue and white, sitting against a warm cream background.
The drawings retain some of their original sketch marks and irregularities, giving the dogs the character of the ceramic figures that inspired them rather than smoothing them into perfect reproductions. Deep blue ears and brilliant cobalt markings are joined by unexpected touches of pink, while a vivid orange border brings the whole design sharply into the present.
It's a characteristically MondoMagna meeting of traditional British decorative art, hand-drawn line and unapologetic colour.
A distinctive kitchen gift for dog lovers, Staffordshire pottery collectors — or anyone who thinks blue and white sometimes needs a jolt of orange.
