MondoMagna Hazelbury draws the eye towards its tightly patterned centre, where tiny repeating marks radiate outwards through shades of green, gold, purple and blue. The pattern gradually opens into warmer layers of rose, russet and vivid red before meeting a contrasting decorative border.
Look closely and the apparent precision becomes much more complex: colours overlap, patterns shift scale and individual motifs seem to emerge and disappear. The result has the richness of a woven textile or mosaic while retaining the lightness and translucency of silk chiffon.
The palette combines red, antique gold, soft green, purple, navy and blue, creating an unusually versatile mixture of warm and cool tones. When folded or loosely tied, completely different colour combinations and fragments of pattern come to the surface.
