Beech Tree Pure Silk Scarf – Colourful Botanical Art – Contemporary Wearable Art

A dramatic pure silk scarf featuring the twisting trunk and branches of a magnificent beech tree in glowing shades of pink, red and burnt orange.

Rather than a traditional botanical study, this design celebrates the extraordinary shapes, textures and character of an old tree. Expressive drawn and painted marks build up the gnarled trunk, while a network of dark branches spreads across a richly coloured background.

Vivid pinks and reds are softened by warm orange and creamy white, with strong black linework giving the design depth and definition. Look closely and the image is full of small marks and textures; step back and they come together to create the powerful silhouette of the tree.

Printed on pure silk, the large 90cm square composition takes on a completely different character when worn. Folded and draped, the tree becomes an almost abstract arrangement of rich colour, sweeping branches and painterly texture.
