Forest Silk Chiffon Scarf – Orange Purple Blue Tree Print – 65cm

A bold silk chiffon scarf transforming a woodland landscape into an unexpected composition of brilliant colour, graphic shapes and polka dots.
MondoMagna Forest features stylised trees sweeping across the scarf in vivid orange, deep blue, green and pink against a soft purple ground. Areas of crisp white polka dots interrupt the painted landscape, creating a playful contrast between natural forms and graphic pattern.
The design began with drawings and paintings of trees, which have been simplified, enlarged and layered to create an almost abstract woodland. Rather than using naturalistic colour, the familiar landscape is reinvented in an exuberant palette of orange, purple, turquoise-blue and hot pink.
Look closely and different treatments sit alongside one another: watery painted textures, flat blocks of colour, sinuous branches and areas of precise geometric dots. When the scarf is folded and tied, these contrasting elements break into colourful fragments, giving a different effect depending on how it is worn.
Printed on 100% natural silk chiffon, with the hem rolled and stitched by hand.
