At first glance, this MondoMagna tea towel could almost be a lovingly stitched sampler discovered in a particularly eccentric grandmother's kitchen.
Look a little closer.
Among the flowers, birds, dogs, decorative borders and other wholesome cross-stitch motifs are a few rather more contemporary additions — while the beautifully embroidered-looking motto declares:
“Sit on my face and tell me that you love me.”
The entire design is printed onto cotton, although the tiny stitches, pixel-like lettering and sampler motifs have been carefully drawn to create the appearance of cross-stitch embroidery.
Sweet, decorative and magnificently inappropriate, it's a tea towel for people who appreciate traditional crafts but feel they can occasionally benefit from an updated vocabulary.
